You can shape the world around you and make your dreams come to life. Turn your dreams into reality, first by dreaming, then by planning, and finally, by acting. You can’t stop there! You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind. And step 2, words? SO MANY WORDS! I love the way you lie! You’ve got that mastered don’t you? Lots of thoughts. Intro Em C G D Verse Em C On the first page of our story G D The future seemed so bright Em C Then the saint turned out so e-vil G D I dont know why Im still surprised Em C Even angels have their wicked schemes G D And you take that to new extremes. If bad luck knows who you are, become someone else. Capo 3rd fret You can substitute D/F for D and it sounds good too. It has to be about grabbing on to the good things and letting the bad things go. But life cant be about holding on to the bad things. Lao Tzu continues, telling us, “complete your task…without faltering, fully choose to do what you must do.” I see no reason why I should be consciously wrong today because I was unconsciously wrong yesterday. But does form just spontaneously appear from the ether? Or from words themselves? No. Lao Tzu tells us that you must go from thought, nameless, formless, to words, named. Though vague and elusive, it gives rise to shapes.” (Verse 1, 21) Lao Tzu in the Tao Te Ching tells us, “Tao is both Named and Nameless, As Nameless, it is the origin of all things, As Named, it is the mother of all things… Though formless and intangible, it gives rise to form. And somehow, that makes it ok to never accomplish anything, even, or especially, when that “anything” is enjoying your life and the people you love. The lies you tell yourself about how dreams aren’t real and reality is outside of your control. All the lies you tell yourself about why you can’t do the things you dream about. All the lies you tell everyone else about the things you will do with your life, every day, every year until your reach the end and wonder where all the time went and you are left with nothing but regret. No literary text, no piece of art, no object ever took physical form without beginning as a thought, as energy. Only in this case they're tall buildings of steel and concrete. He's like a lion hiding in the tall grass. Don’t you know that dreams and reality are two sides of the same coin? I’m going to keep going until you’re slick with it, until my jeans are damp with you, until the scent of your sex is in the air. Day after day, year after year, it’s the same old song, but the dance never got started. This year I will spend more time with my kids. This is the year I lose 20lbs and get in shape. This will be the year that I open a new location. I love the way you lie! This year I’m going to quit my job and start a business.
